I recommend Scott Kelby’s books to anyone looking to learn about photography. The books are easy to read and well written. He doesn’t bog you down with the minute
details of digital photography. He shows you a picture and how to setup your camera to shoot something similar. I find Scott’s style more helpful than understanding exactly how the CMOS sensor in my camera works, like some books try to teach. The book is geared toward Nikon and Canon cameras but anyone can use the information in the book. You would just need to use your cameras manual to find the settings. After reading his Digital Photography Books I’m planning to ready Scott’s Photoshop and Lightroom books.
